The Miriam and Ira D. Wallach Art Gallery at Columbia University presents

"Observing and Subverting - Women Printmakers and Social Justice in the 1930s"

a lecture by Helen Langa, Assoc. Professor of Art History and Gender Studies at American University

4 February 2008, 6:15 p.m.
934 Schermerhorn Hall, Columbia University, 116th St. and Broadway

This lecture is held in conjunction with the concurrent exhibition at the Wallach Art Gallery titled "Paths to the Press: Printmaking and American Women Artists, 1910 - 1960."

The exhibition runs through 8 March 2008.

The gallery will be open before the talk, from 5 to 6 p.m. and after the talk where refreshments will be served.

The Wallach Art Gallery is located on the 8th floor of Schermerhorn Hall.

Gallery hours for this exhibition are Wednesday through Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m. For further information call (212) 854-7288
